In 2021, hundreds of people were injured and ten were killed in a crowd crush during the headlining performance at Travis Scott’s Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas. The film unpacks the logistical failures and the tragic consequences through exclusive interviews with survivors, paramedics and festival staff. Additionally, compiled footage from concertgoers’ phones brings viewers into the heart of the crowd, demonstrating just how extreme the crowd was on the day.
The film is the first of Netflix’s documentary anthology series exploring massive event disasters that made global headlines, created corporate scandals, and cost lives. Other topics covered later in the series include the infamous Poop Cruise and storming Area 51.

Meanwhile, fellow member Gal Hochman marked her series debut with the launch of Beyond the Beat—a vibrant, genre-bending music production series shaking up how we experience iconic Kiwi tracks.

The NZ On Air funded web series was created by Liv and producer Jessica Todd to meet young audiences where they are. Shot in a vertical aspect ratio and edited to suit the short form platforms, the series is not only made for social media, it is all about social media.
When six school prefects sneak away to a remote bach for a night of underage drinking and questionable decisions, they expect a chill evening—not total social annihilation. At 10 P.M. their phones light up with messages from @thesender, an anonymous account sending scandalous photos that could destroy their carefully crafted lives.
While filled with classic teen drama hijinks, The Sender also tackles the serious topics of image-based abuse and sextortion. It approaches this serious subject matter with humour and authenticity, making the difficult conversation more accessible to younger audiences.
